Welcome to Syracuse's premiere Fitness and Training Center, Power Athletics and Training. WE MOVED TO A BIGGER AND BETTER FACILITY AT 6261 E TAFT RD!  We have been transforming body, mind, and spirit for nearly a decade. Our certified instructors, friendly staff, motivating trainers, and state-of-the-art facility are only a few of the things that make Power Athletics and Training so unique. Our spacious club and comfortable atmosphere makes getting fit a truly inspiring adventure.

We offer a wide range of private and group classes, all professionally designed and led, that target your unique needs. You will not be lost in a crowd. Our class sizes are limited and offered frequently, enabling our professional trainers to spend the time necessary to maximize results. We offer private classes and group classes in Zumba (Toning/Cardio/Mommy and me), P90X sampler, Aerobics, Yoga, Jazzercise, step, Hip-Hop, Cheerleading, Tumbling, Karate, and Gymnastics. New classes are added all the time. If you don't see it, ask for it!


NOT your average youth recreation program.  Now offering after school programs, school break camps, and evening classes in cheerleading, hip hop dance, karate and break dance in Syracuse, NY.  Check out our schedule for Cheer and Dance programs.

We are located almost to the corner of East Molloy Rd and Thompson Rd near Carrier Circle and the Thruway.



Hip Hop and Cheerleading Day camps at $30 per day for ages 5 years through 18 years old:

Camp and Registration Dates:

You may mail registration or payment in at any time prior or attend the registration dates as follows:

·         Register July 12th at 6:00 p.m. for Summer Camp: July 18th-22nd 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

·         Register August 2nd at 6:00 p.m. for Summer Camp: August 15th-19th 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

The camp fee of $30.00 per day/$150.00 per week is due upon registration. ½ day with pick up by noon is available upon request for $75.00 per week.

(Bring a bagged lunch and snacks daily)

15 percent discount for CURRENT Fury athletes.

FREE T-SHIRT OR TANK UPON PAID REGISTRATION!

Ø  New Recreational 8 week teams for $150.00-2 hour per week class-all inclusive of apparel and competition

NEW NEW NEW-After school recreation program until 5:30 p.m. for $75.00 per week.

Various activities will be going on throughout the afternoon so that each child can choose their activities.

7:30-9:00 pm-Hip Hop 17 yrs +

5:00-6:00 pm-Hip Hop 4-14 yrs
6:00-7:00 pm—Beginning Tumbling
4-14 yrs
7:00-8:00 pm—Beginner Tumbling
14-25 yrs
8:00-9:00 pm-Intermediate & Advanced Tumbling 12-25 yrs

POWER ATHLETICS NOW OFFERS 6 WEEK or 8 WEEK PROGRAMS for your Parks and Recreation programs, school, daycare, or Recreational Center at your facility or ours, which can be customized by you! 

We currently offer instructional lessons in Cheerleading, Hip Hop Dance,  Tumbling and Karate as well as Zumba, Mom and Me Zumba, Flexibility stretching and P90X sampler fitness classes!

Each program can be customized to fit your groups needs!

A popular example of a once per week youth program is as follows:

6 weeks at once per week: $60.00 for one class $100 for two classes or $130 for three classes.

3:00-3:15:    Cheerleading and Karate classes simultaneously

3:15-4:00: Hip hop Dance

4:00-4:45: Beginning Tumbling

RECITAL OFFERED AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM!

 Programs can be switched and can be more than once per week.  You can choose and we will design a program that will work for you either at your facility or ours.

About us:

We teach young athletes to be self confident, do their best, and have fun! Take your skills to a whole new level.  Powers provides complete instructional class programs for cheerleading, tumbling, karate and dance instruction as well as competitive teams for all ages and levels of ability.  Our goal is to develop the athleticism and character in young people, produce outstanding cheerleaders and dancers while keeping a balance of fun and discipline. 

 

We offer lessons for children & adults from professional instructors & choreographers. Cheer classes offered for beginners thru advanced level techniques both recreationally & competitively. Whether students are interested cheerleading as a hobby or as a career, our staff is dedicated to provide proper training and encourage students to discover the excitement of cheerleading& dance.

Both recreational, instructional classes and competitive dance crews are available.


 

 


Floor and cheer tumbling for all ages and abilities Learn the basics of a forward roll, cartwheel, round-off, walkovers, and advance to back handsprings, tucks, fulls, and double fulls. Drills and Progressive training is utilized.


 

 

Karate instruction provided that will start with beginners and advance through safe and educational progression.


Fitness:

 

We offer a wide array of fitness classes for all ages led by professional and certified fitness instructors. Fitness for all ages is available.

 

Classes include Zumba, Flexibility, Yoga, P90X sampler and more.  Classes are added weekly depending on interest.  If you don’t see it, refer it to us and we will add it with enough interest.

Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music that creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system.  MOM AND ME ZUMBA AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST!
ZUMBA combines low-impact, high energy dances movements, with intervals of fast and slow rhythms. Depending upon your level of intensity, you'll burn between 300-1000 calories per class! The dances are repetitive and very easy to follow, so everyone can do them. Just remember to keep moving and most importantly to have fun!
